360° /VR animated short film

Overview Effect  is a 3D pop-art animation that shares the view of the Apollo 11 astronauts from the surface of the moon, and reveals their shift in understanding. As they saw the earth from afar, they reassess the fragility of the planet we call home. Overview Effect is a present day reflection on the effects of the human race on our planet. It is both a celebration of the achievements we are capable of, and a warning about the issues we choose to ignore.

Overview Effect began as a large scale projection, shown to mark the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. It was later repurposed as a VR film that has been shared online and at film festivals in the US and UK.
