THE PROJECT
Steel Town Tales is our current heritage project focused on uncovering the rich history of steel production in Corby. It spans from early Viking settlers in the 9th century to the peak success of steel making in the 19th and early 20th centuries, and continues through to ongoing production today.
Steel Town Tales will bring the town's history to life with an immersive co-location Virtual Reality (VR) Experience as well as a digital archive, offering a wealth of heritage materials, including photos, videos and oral history interviews.
