A LEARNING JOURNEY
THE PROJECT
"Voyagers" is our latest professional development project, aimed to explore and expand the use of Virtual Production and Motion Capture (Mocap) techniques in filmmaking.
As part of this creative learning journey, we’ve produced a series of four behind-the-scenes videos that document the process, challenges, and solutions we encountered while creating a short film. The project culminates in the release of "Voyagers," a high-quality 3-5 minute short film.
These resources dive deep into the creative workflow, covering the essentials of Motion Capture and Virtual Production while offering practical insights and tips for fellow creative technologists and artists. This project not only helped us refine our skills but also serves as a valuable resource for others in the creative tech community.

HOW WE DID IT
The short film was made entirely with Virtual Production (VP) techniques and Motion Capture (Mocap) technology. It combines real-time tracked camera movements mapped onto virtual backdrops, and incorporates both live performers and virtual characters, to push the boundaries of digital film production. The whole production of the film has been documented in 4 behind the scenes videos and can be seen on our Youtube Channel.
